Haven’t tried it on the ants yet, though. I soaked cotton balls in the mixture and put in plastic lids and set in cabinets where they were coming. THAT”s my problem. Worked like a charm!

I put it wherever I saw them, left it for a few hours and cleaned it up. told him I use to have “grease ants” (protein) but now I have ‘sugar ants”. They are every where. How long does it usually take? They are as big as my thumb nail.Rather than use Borax, I make a solution of diatomaceous earth and water. When laying out traps, be sure to set a fresh one each day.

I used to spray the buggers to kill them in the boxes until I discovered that if I disturb them by moving the box outdoors and give it a kick or two, they’ll pack up and take themselves and their eggs elsewhere (into the next light switch no doubt) I’ve tried borax/sugar before and it does slow them down a bit but they return with a vengeance.
