When I sent it off to Taurus, they said it was fine and returned it with the front sight bouncing loose in the box. Being a good guy, he gave me more.I can forgive a production gun having issues. Review the gun on its own merit and not how you feel about the maker or guns in that price range. Every so often I caught myself flinching and waiting for it.If you have smaller hands or use a lower grip, you probably won’t experience that.Beyond that I ran into two failures to eject in my first 200 rounds which consisted of 50 rounds of brass cased ammo and a 150 of the Winchester USA Forged. Nuff said. I had a sw shield 9mm For work and i would take this g2 as a personal gun every day over the sw.I’ve owned my G2C for a little over a year and have over 500 rounds down range with it. it is a description of systematic errors, a measure of statistical bias; low accuracy causes a difference between a result and a “true” value. Its newest threat in terms of sales just might be the new kid on the block, the new Mossberg MC1sc. I own 2 other taurus guns a 454 raging bull and a pt99, never had a problem with either of themNow don’t bash High Points, They are made in Ohio USA and work great.
told taurus i was not going to pay for a repair that they created, and they sent a mailing label. This gun hides very well, and the holster pulls the grip in towards the body. I haven’t had one bit of a problem with failure to fire/eject. I’d say yes.
stupid i guess.
It’s flat and that’s a plus for concealed carry. and are easy to shoot.
Their customer service was beyond unexcusable.
Maybe mine was built on a Friday before the siesta?I owe a 709.
I’ve even mixed FMJ and HP in the same mag…even with different weights and brands. I like it a lot. Reply. I’ve shot probably 500+ rounds and at least a full box of +P through my PT111 G2 with only one issue where the gun wouldn’t go into battery. The overall should be an average of all aspects that drive the “overall” opinion of the firearm.
They sent him a brand new G2C right about when they said they would. The second was a customer who brought in his gun to send back as apparently he was told we are an authorized dealer for repairs (imagine my surprise – LOL). In all these years I’ve only had it “tightened” once. Never had an issue.I’ve shot a couple that ran without a hitch and then a couple that were fussy and hiccup prone with magazine issues. This competes with a Skyy in my mind. Never say never.Should we consider this writing a “distant early warning” for buying this firearm and we should “use kid gloves” while sighting it? Although i think you’re lying about it.My wife and daughter both own Spectrums and neither have had any problems. My dear wife got me one for Christmas because I wanted a compact for deeper conceal in certain situations. (Dual recoil springs??).
Click on a term to search for related topics. I did not test self-defense ammo – I have always had excellent results with any JHP load I’ve shot through any of the Taurus PT-111 G2 Milleniums or the G2C I’ve owned.
I’m not a gun expert, I just enjoy collecting them and shooting them.I bought the G2C after looking to replace my conceal carry gun.
Not super in love with their semi autos.I realize the reviewer may be strapped for time. Their semi-automatics seem to have a decent enough reputation. next was the 738. malfunctioned on second magazine and locked up. Just my opinion of course. the zip tie is jammed against the back of the ejection port and the gun frame. So far, Taurus has worked for me.Have owned & shot striker fired pistols by the dozen. Hard to do on just a disability check.Back in the eighties and nineties when men were men and guns were mostly metal, Ruger’s pistols were reliable without fault. As I have a 709Slim(which IS slimmer) I’ll pass on this fat G2S.
Obviously I like it enough to keep it – I carry it regularly – but there are a few things I’d change if I could. It fits my IWB holster that I used for the small Glock perfectly. My very first firearm was a Taurus .38 spl back in college. The only issue I have had is that it doesn’t like cheap ammunition, but whatever, I spend a dollar more on ammo and the gun takes it just fine. why do i keep buying taurus? Maybe I can justify my new gun by calculating how much money we save by eating out! As shooting is a perishable skill, I was not incredibly accurate. Not one problem.
Let’s be blunt – if you can afford a P365, you probably won’t buy a G2C. At least 500 with 1000 being the standard.
