The heel is very protected and doesn’t slip out at all, which I found with some of their previous versions.
These shoes are fantastic and the added cushioning in front has made the nimbus 22 stand out from its predecessors.
My feet were aching after being in them for 4hrs.
Eleven ounces for a daily trainer is just too much these days.
The amount of give or cushion they have is amazing, and there's no obvious "wall" or stopping point where it feels "hard" when you bottom them out on concrete.

So personable and accommodating. The shoe, to some, felt stiffer than previous Nimbus models and those with wider feet found the footbed to be too narrow.
This thickness ads to the responsiveness of the overall feel of the shoe.
They are very comfortable and breathe well.
The 21 were slightly better, minus the horrible to box.

ASICS Women's GEL-Nimbus 20 Running Shoe My last 3 purchases were for Gel-Nimbus. The mesh outer (outside of the tongue) is not padded, but i can't even tell the difference because there's so much cushion in the insole/outsole.

Shoes ok. These actually provide better support than my own custom orthotics, but with the added benefit of (what feels like) literally unlimited cushion.
