Along with 5 boxes of stationery we donated maths books from Haumoana School and readers from Porritt Primary School. So good to get things out to kids. Ian and Pennie worked at the Port unloading, Joy, Linda and the kids worked at the MOE allocating supplies.

The letter also highlighted that this container is classed as official cyclone relief aide. Everywhere we went we were greeted with songs, blessings and prayers of thanks. Our goal is to ship a container of education resources to Vanuatu in 2015 and distribute it. The fantastic letter worked and today we were able to unpack the container, deliver supplies and sort them at the Ministry of Education, MOE. There are also supplies for Wendy on VSA at the Ministry to distribute to kindergartens and some high school text books donated by Tararua District. Fair to say it was an emotional day and we are in awe of Ni-Van optimism.G thanks again to Fletcher Building Ltd who paid the container freight, truck and driver hire and freight to outlying islands.

Thursday there was a delay in it being cleared as aide, Friday the stevedores moved offices and went home early, Saturday a cruise ship came in, Sunday everyone went to church and today, it sat there hemed in by other containers.
