Maybe if I had better balance/stronger core it would be doable, but I wouldn't feel comfortable at all trying to actually fish standing up from it. The stock seat is pretty nice for the price you pay for the boat IMO with the high back but if you want to be more comfortable and spend some additional time on the water AND be raised up about 1.5in, I would recommend getting a stadium seat.
